The entrance of the house was located 1.50 to 1.80 meters above the ground level in Roman times and today.
A house would occupy the total depth of the arch or section. The exterior facade would be built in the opening of the arch.
The main rooms of the house were built in the wide outer corridor, on two levels, which were linked by a staircase in stone or wood.
In the lower part of the dwelling, the inhabitants generally installed a wine cellar or a vat for making wine.
